Driverz uses available UK fuel price data feeds and local cached data where possible. Fuel prices can change quickly, so always check the pump price before filling up.
Frequently asked questions
Short answers about Driverz, fuel prices, EV charging data, location search, calculators, privacy and clean air zone guidance.
Quick answer
Driverz is built as a simple UK driving utility. Use the fuel finder first, then use the calculators and guides when you need more detail.
Fuel prices
Useful answers about petrol, diesel, station results and price accuracy.
Station prices may change after the latest data update. There can also be delays in reporting, missing fuel grades, temporary closures or local station changes.
Costco fuel stations usually require membership. The exclude option hides Costco results so the finder shows stations available to more drivers.
Not every station reports every fuel grade in the same way. E5, premium diesel and specialist grades may be missing or updated less consistently than standard petrol and diesel.
Pence-per-litre is useful, but many drivers think in real fill-up costs. A 40L estimate gives a quick everyday comparison between stations.
EV data
EV charging information is useful, but it is usually less standardised than petrol and diesel data.
Many EV charging networks do not publish live pricing in a consistent public format. Driverz shows pricing where available and uses cleaner fallback messages when it is not listed.
Some charger records include connector types such as CCS, Type 2 or CHAdeMO. Others only include basic location or operator data. If connector data is missing, Driverz hides that row instead of showing a technical error.
If a charger price is listed as zero, Driverz displays FREE. Always check the charger app or operator terms before starting a charge.
Use the connector your vehicle supports. The simple options planned for Driverz are Any, CCS, Type 2 and CHAdeMO, with rapid charging as a possible extra filter.
Often yes. Home charging, especially on an off-peak tariff, is usually cheaper than rapid public charging. Use the EV Home Savings tool for a rough estimate.
Location & privacy
Driverz works best with a local search, but the site should stay clear and respectful about location use.
Location helps Driverz show nearby fuel prices and local driving information. You can also search manually by town, city or postcode instead.
No. The browser asks for permission first. Driverz should use a soft prompt before triggering the browser location request, so you can choose location search or manual search.
Remembering your last selected location makes the fuel finder faster on your next visit. This is stored in your browser, not used as an account login.
Yes. Use the search icon in the header or select a city from the location cloud.
Tools & calculators
Driverz tools are designed to give fast estimates first, then short explanations after the result.
Most visitors want the result first. Driverz puts the tool at the top, then adds quick answers, assumptions and related links underneath for context.
No. They are estimates based on the values you enter. Real-world costs can change because of driving style, weather, traffic, tyres, fuel quality, charging losses and local prices.
On supported devices, it opens the native share sheet so you can share a result by message, email, notes or other apps. If native sharing is unavailable, the site can fall back to copying a text result.
The mileage tracker is designed to save entries in your browser only. Clearing browser storage may remove saved entries, so export CSV if you want a backup.
Rules, ULEZ & clean air zones
Driverz guides aim to make common UK driving rules easier to understand, but official sources should always be checked for legal decisions.
No. ULEZ is based on vehicle emissions. The Congestion Charge is a traffic charge in central London. A journey can sometimes involve more than one charge.
No. Rules vary by city and vehicle type. Some zones mainly affect commercial vehicles, while others may affect private cars depending on emissions.
Driverz can explain the difference between common charge types and link to official checkers. For payment decisions, use the official city or GOV.UK checker.
No. They are practical summaries. Always follow the Highway Code, road signs, police instructions and official guidance.
Site, contact & advertising
Questions about corrections, partnerships and how Driverz is intended to operate.
Use the contact page and choose fuel correction or site feedback. Include the station name, location, fuel grade, price shown and the price you saw.
Yes. Driverz is designed for low-clutter, utility-focused sponsorships. Good-fit partners include breakdown cover, EV charging, tyres, garages, insurance, parking and driver services.
The goal is to keep Driverz fast and useful. Ads or sponsors should be minimal, clearly labelled and placed around the utility experience rather than interrupting it.
Yes, the site is intended as a free driving utility. Future advertising or sponsorship should help support the site without making the experience cluttered.
